What is Reality? Q & A
To understand reality, we need to understand what “matter” is by answering a few simple questions:
Q: Where does the intelligence that keeps our heart beating come from?
A: That’s a part of the unconscious nervous system.
Q: Where is this unconscious nervous system located?
A: The part of the brain that deals with emotions and memory.
Q: And is the brain made up of?
A: Cells.
Q: And what are those cells made up of?
A: Molecules.
Q: What are those molecules made up of?
A: Atoms.
Q: And what are those atoms made up of?
A: Subatomic particles.
Q: And what are those subatomic particles primarily composed of?
A: Energy.
Einstein demonstrated with his famous equation e=mc2 that energy and matter are completely interchangeable.
Energy shapes our consciousness and our mind. And if all matter is made of energy, it makes sense that consciousness (mind) and energy (matter) are one. Our consciousness (mind) is energy.
Therefore, we are energy with a consciousness. We are mindful matter.
Quantum physics tried to explain this energy in its famous “The Quantum Field Model” theory, and I find it useful to think of thoughts as the “electrical charge” in the subatomic field, and feelings as the “magnetic charge” in the field.
The quantum field is an invisible potential energy that can organize itself from energy to subatomic particles to atoms to molecules, and then to everything physical we see and feel. This energy organizes molecules into cells, into tissues, into organs, into systems, and finally into the body as a whole. Energy appears solid. This is Universal Intelligence.
Universal Intelligence gives life to that field and everything within it, including you and me. It empowers the universe. It keeps our heart beating. It is all the chemical reactions that take place in every cell; it is how clouds are formed; how animals and insects thrive; how plants produce oxygen; and how bees produce honey.
This intelligence is universal. We are an Extension of the universal Intelligence.
We live in an interesting quantum field we call reality.
